Dimethyl disulfide is a widely used sulfur-containing organic compound used in the petroleum industry as a vulcanizing agent in the hydrodesulfurization of naphtha, gasoline, and kerosene, as an activator in the pre-vulcanization process of hydrotreating and hydrocracking catalysts, and as an inhibitor of hydrogenation in the benzene hydroxyl reaction. In the rubber industry, it can be used as a solvent, regenerant, softener, plasticizer, etc.

Packaging and storage
200kg galvanized iron drum or ton drum packaging, stored in a cool and ventilated place, away from fire and heat sources, keep the container sealed, should be stored separately from oxidants, food chemicals, do not mix storage. Explosion-proof lighting and ventilation are adopted. Do not use mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to spark. Storage area should be equipped with leak emergency treatment equipment suitable containment materials.
